As a jeweler, I seek to encapsulate the essence of transformation and continuity that I observe in my garden and experience through my yoga practice. Working predominantly with silver, gold, and the unique allure of natural gemstones, my pieces are a celebration of the delicate balance between individual expression and universal truths. Each design mirrors the fluid movements and cyclical changes of nature, inviting the wearer to find beauty in growth and renewal. My art is a tribute to the intricate dance of becoming, where each piece is not just an adornment but a meditative reflection on the interconnectedness of all things.

Salayi (pronounced SAL-eye) was my grandmother’s maiden name.

about Salayi Designs

A garden with a stone path surrounded by various plants and flowers, including red poppies and yellow blooms. A wooden fence and a large tree provide the backdrop. The garden is well-lit by sunlight and features a white beehive structure.

Natalie Esfahanian runs Salayi Designs from her home in Redwood City. When she’s not in the studio, she’s most often in her garden, hiking around Northern Ca, or hanging out with her husband, kids, dogs, chickens and cat.

“I took my first jewelry class at Interlochen Arts Camp when I was 12, and haven’t looked back since. I love working with metal, the history of jewelry, and teaching others how to use this lovely material.”

A cluttered workshop with tools, fabrics, and equipment, featuring a pegboard with hanging tools, a blackboard, a workbench, and a brown leather chair.
