Hippuris, or Mare’s Tails, is an ancient plant. Its tube shaped body has segments that can be pulled apart and reassembled, so we called it puzzle grass at summer camp in Michigan.
These hoop earrings come in three sizes, and either a bright silver finish or oxidized to show off the fine texture (silver only)
Cast directly from plants in my own California garden. This is an ancient plant I loved playing with a a kid in Michigan. The segments can be taken apart and reattached. Here it’s been cast in silver to capture the fine details of the surface. Minimal, classic design earrings you can wear daily.
Large hoops: 40mm diameter
Medium hoops: 30mm diameter
Small hoops: 25mm diameter
All hoops have solid sterling silver ear posts and nuts, or french wires. Handmade in my Redwood City studio.
