Sterling silver or brass, cast to duplicate the beautiful texture of Redwood Tree shoots. We have a lovely redwood tree in out backyard, which sends up new shoots every year. I made a silicone mold of one of those shoots to duplicate it first in wax, and then metal. Those metal castings are then shaped, soldered and polished as bangle bracelets.
Each is handmade from scratch in my Redwood City, CA studio. I love capturing the gorgeous shapes and textures of the Northern Californian environment in heirloom quality jewelry.
